Software Provider Information and Registration


      The collaboration between the involved parties

      Pharmacies, hospitals and wholesalers (“end users”) establish an electronic connection to the National Medicines Verification System (NMVS) via the Internet and can do so with their existing Point of Sales, Dispensing and Warehouse Management Systems, or with stand-alone solutions that can be purchased on the market. The NMVS is operated by SMVS Schweizerische Gesellschaft für die Verifizierung von Arzneimitteln GmbH (SMVS GmbH).

      How we support software providers to establish a connection to the NMVS

      Our contractual partner Solidsoft Reply, offers a development kit (SDK) through the Developer Portal with which software providers and software development departments can create an interface between their system and the NMVS. Software will be granted access to the Developer Portal after successful registration.

      Registration process for software providers or software development departments

      All software providers or software development departments of endusers who wish to connect their solutions to the NMVS system for Switzerland and Liechtenstein must complete the NMVS onboarding process, which includes the following steps:

      1. The particpant submits details about their company (name, address, UID, superuser first name, last name, e-mail, etc.) and their solution (software name, target market) to be connected to the NMVS
      2. After completing the registration and checking the provided data, the participant will be provide with access to the SDK and also to the NMVS environments (ITE, IQE) in order to test the connection between its solution and the NMVS. It also includes access to the developer portal for the NMVS. The NMVS portal credentials will be sent directly to the registered person by the NMVS software manufacturer Solidsoft Reply.
      3. In order to connect their software solution to the NMVS production environment, each particpant must carry out specific self-certification tests of their solutions in the NMVS quality environment (IQE).

      From the moment the SDK is made available, particpants have access to Solidsoft Reply technical support and technical documentation via the Developer Online Portal, as well as the Solidsoft Reply Service Desk.
